For nearly 12 years, BDD has served as a unique digital cluster designed for a community of businesses and innovators. Its successes are in the numbers, with year on year growth and expansion plans in the pipeline. Today, it stands as a self-sustaining innovative neighborhood and leading outsourcing hub in Lebanon, where technology and brainpower seamlessly integrate, allowing diverse communities to flourish.
A growing creative and digital space in Beirut
At present, BDD has 3,500+ members on its campus, and over 160 companies, organizations and startups, varying in sizes. What makes the ecosystem even more dynamic, are the array of more than 35 industries that are represented at BDD, from tech companies working in design, finance, digital services, IT and coding, to music and culture, as well as NGOs and social enterprises.
Events and workshops hosted in the thousands
Making an impact beyond the campus, BDD has hosted 1,535 workshops and events last year alone, which have attracted over 80,000 attendees. Every year, the campus is bustling with local and global business and tech events, making it the prime location for organizations and companies to engage with like-minded audiences.
The reason why thousands of events are planned at BDD every year is due to the high-tech spaces that are flexible in capacity and vary in size based on need. The main hall (1280), is ideal for larger scale events and workshops and comes with live streaming services, high-speed internet and dedicated catering areas. The latest addition to BDD 1227, are expandable boardrooms housed within Block B, that offer flexible and sound insulated spaces that fit up to 24 people, with interactive smart boards, dedicated catering areas and breakout lounges. There is also a grand terrace for networking and corporate events.
What’s more, demo days, pitches and startup events are regularly on the schedule, shedding light on the latest innovations in Lebanon.
“When we first envisioned BDD, we had a grand plan of what it would look like and how it would give back to Lebanon’s innovative minds,” shares Mouhamad Rabah, CEO of BDD. “Now, nearing our 12th anniversary, we know that our success is because of the ecosystem players who entrusted us, and who continue to fulfill their ambitions on our campus.”
