On Friday, September 19, Beirut Digital District (BDD) marked a historic milestone by hosting Lebanon’s first-ever AI Career Fair, a full-campus takeover that brought together over 500 students, innovators, and industry leaders across BDD1075, BDD1280, and the Garden Piazza.
In collaboration with Zaka and Forward MENA, the fair positioned Beirut as a hub for AI talent and innovation, celebrating Lebanon’s potential to embrace the future of technology.
Opening Remarks
H.E. Kamal Shehadi, Minister of State for Technology and AI, shared:
“Here in Beirut, we are choosing to move forward: building, competing, and imagining bold new futures. Many more jobs will be created by AI, and that requires talent and literacy in the field. Larissa Abi Nakhle, Co-founder of ZAKA.ai and the visionary behind the AI Career Fair, highlighted:
“We see many talented people leaving Lebanon to find AI opportunities abroad. This fair brings together companies and Lebanon’s brightest AI minds, creating a space for meaningful connections and showing that both talent and innovation excel here, with cutting-edge AI solutions being developed locally for the world.”
