The BDD Academy has geared its efforts towards the youth, with a full-fledged STEAM camp this summer. Throughout the months of July and August, numerous camps for children between the ages of 7 and 18, will provide hands-on experience for the aspirational coders, engineers and entrepreneurs.
The exceptional camps have been designed to strengthen problem solving, analytical thinking, creativity and technical skills, to prepare the youth for the careers of tomorrow. Studies show that both soft skills and technical expertise are essential for the youth to be more competitive in the future workforce. One study by Oxford University cites that 47% of current jobs will disappear in the coming 25 years, replaced by automation and technology. In addition, according to the World Economic Forum, “65% of children who are now entering primary school, will hold jobs that currently do not exist.”
Evidently, with the rise of technological transformations and AI, the youth need to be more prepared. Education systems are already adapting to this shift, by integrating programs within school curricula. By enrolling kids and teens in such programs from a young age, they are better positioned to excel in their careers in the future.
The Summer Camp is part of BDD Academy’s commitment to develop the skillset of the youth and support the new generation of educational programs.
Below are the different summer camps that will take place in Beirut Digital District during July and August:
