SESOBEL AT BDD: CHRISTMAS SPIRIT & HOLIDAY JINGLES

Happenings at BDD

Over 180 children and adults under the care of SESOBEL, were all smiles and cheers, as part of a 2 day event organized by BDD. On the first day, community members from BDD visited SESOBEL’s campus and classes, and interacted with disabled individuals, including kids to adults up to 40 years old. With Christmas songs and jingles playing in the background, they sang and danced together.

On day 2, children gathered at BDD for some holiday cheer. With Santa Clause and Mama Clause at BDD’s 1280, children took part in cookie-making activities, games and lunch. Festive songs filled the air, as each child was handed a gift… based on their wish list. BDD’s team and community joined in the fun, and offered gifts, to brighten up the lives of the participating children.

An emotional two days of BDD’s community and members of SESOBEL, managed to create an infectious vibe, with smiles and laughter all around.

SESOBEL is a Lebanese NGO that cares for children with disabilities. The idea for SESOBEL came about in 1976, when studying the needs of children in Lebanon. In 1978, the first SESOBEL location opened its doors, and since, the organization has helped over 10,000 children with disabilities. The NGO works to cover medical, social, educational, rehabilitative, recreational and relational needs, as well as the social integration of children in society, and ensuring their rights are given to them. However, their commitment goes one step further… to ensure that children live a life of joy and dignity.
